One of the most illustrious projects we completed in 2011 was AR studio demonstration within «Innovative Kazakhstan» project in Astana.
All-Nation Live Link-Up with participation of the President Nursultan Nazarbayev was held at the Saryarka Cycle Track in Astana, Kazakhstan, December 09, 2011 to officially present Kazakhstan’s industrialization projects.
A range of investment projects were presented to the audience using «living 3D markers» augmented reality technology and interactive AR studio by EligoVision.
It was the first time ever that these technologies were used at a nation-wide event.
The show was broadcast to the large screen using two cameras of EligoVision AR studio, aligned in a special manner.

3D content and installation
Spectators could see various 3D models (e.g. a unique blast furnace of ArcelorMittal Temirtau, Evolution TEZ 3A locomotive, and hydraulic turbines of Moynakskaya HPP) coming alive in the hands of the presenter.
The models emerging «from the air» were accompanied by the applause of Nursultan Nazarbayev and of all the audience.
Thanks to these highly detailed models the visitors could take a closer look at the diversion system and the dam of the Bestuybinskoye water pond, and see melted cast iron flowing out from the taphole.
3D export-oriented locomotive emerging on the virtual rails, stirred particular emotions of the residents and guests.
The use of several cameras allowed bypassing marker angle limitations, and made it possible to ensure all 3D models, scenes and animations would be aligned with the markers.
Our specialists also developed a unique automatic exposure system which was scaling the image broadcast by the front camera to match the presenter’s movements.
